There are many fishing clubs comprised of hard-core sport fisherman that put a lot more time and effort into it than we do. We aren’t really pursuing any record catches, but one can always hope!

Classmates from the 60’s?

That too; but it’s more than that.

In 2001, the year we all turned 50, we wanted to plan some sort of reunion to commemorate this milestone and after discarding several other ideas, decided to have a weekend of gulf fishing and fun in Destin, Florida.

Over-the-hill party animals trying to recapture their lost youth?

Hah! We would never admit to that!

Although the concept was born about 2:30 AM somewhere between AJ’s and the Hog’s Breath Saloon.

Think of it as a “state of mind”, kind of like “Margaritaville” is to a Parrothead. A commitment amongst old friends (who know too many dark secrets in each others past) - maybe like a male version of the Ya-ya Sisterhood; and above all, an appreciation of the sort of good times the Gulf Coast is famous for.
